I participated in the Spring SWAP and had a great time. Put me in for the Freeman's Shucka Khan Midge. Jude turned me on to this fly and I have had some great luck with it. Plus, Paul is a great guy. I have met him a couple of times and he is always helpful.
Looking forward to seeing all the great pattern's |

The sparkle worms are in the mail. Here is the recipe for them.
Materials:
Hook: Daiichi 1770 sz 14-16. I used 16's.
Thread: Danville's Flymaster Waxed Thread 6/0 (70 Denier)
in orange, red, white, or brown. I used orange.
Body: Larva Lace Body Material Hollow in orange, blood red, clear,
brown, or red brown. I used orange.
Rib: The thread plus your favorite color of Krystal Flash (KF).
I used Pearl.
Instructions:
1. Secure the thread at the eye of the hook and wrap back
to the top of the bend of the hook.
2. Tie in the KF.
3. Slip the hook, eye first, into the larva lace body material.
Work the larva lace down to the thread and the KF. Cut the
larva lace a bit (about 3 or 4 thread wraps) away from the
hook eye.
4. Tie down the larva lace, at the back, then wrap the thread
forward, creating the rib pattern. You will find the larva lace
stretched toward the eye as you wrap forward.
5. Wrap the KF forward, over the thread wraps.
6. Tie down the KF and the larva lace with the thread, also
forming a small head.
7. Whip finish and cement. |
