Something that might work for you is "barrier net". It's used to stop golf balls and comes in different sizes from a fine mesh from about 1/4" up to 1" square openings.

Go and fish the drive will be worth it. The river is clearing and is getting better by the hour.
I fished the past 2 days (Thursday Friday) and had some of the best fishing I ever had on the Juan.
