One of my favorite go to patterns!
Hook: Daiichi 1510 size 10
Thread: Gray 6/0 Uni-thread
Body: Gray Rabbit Strip
Thorax: Rabbit/Thread
Wing Case: None
Rib: None
Instructions:
  1. Secure thread near head and back to bend.
  2. Lay a strip of rabbit along the length of the hook.
  3. Leave at least 1 inch of the strip for a tail.
  4. Separate the fur and secure the strip to the hook with 3-4 turns of thread.
  5. Wrap thread forward to just behind the eye.
  6. Leave room for a large head.
  7. Separate the fur and secure the strip to the hook with 3-4 turns of thread.
  8. Trim excess, whip finish, and cement.
Variations: Brown, black, gray, ginger or white rabbit strips are most popular. Experiment with different colors. Dub a body under the strip in a color to match. Add some flashabou or krystal flash to brighten things up.
