Medium sized root beer colored bead |
| Instructions: |
- Slip the bead onto the hook and place the hook in the vise.
- Push the bead to the eye of the fly and tie in the thread just behind the bead.
- Wrap the thread back to the bend.
- Place your dubbing on the thread and build a tapered body forward.
- Whip finish behind the bead and cement carefully.

This pattern is simple but very effective on the lower river where
the caddis are in greater numbers. Try different colored beads and maybe even a
larva lace body vs. dubbing. |
